I Have A New Pet!

I have an old potting tray in the garden which I use as a bird bath. It's quite deep and the sparrows always seem hesitant to jump in.

Yesterday, I put in a paving slab, at an angle, so that the smaller birds could bathe.
Today, there is an enormous frog in there, coming out from under the slab to breath and take some sunshine.

Will it stay? I hope so. I've never had a pet frog before.

I have just moved a mound of upturned grass, Tilly...and found a toad. He was a little grumpy but I have named him Patrick.....x

Family joke, Tilly....Whenever we did something a little...err..illegal.. when we were in Ireland...such as borrowing long logs from the Forestry to make a gate ....and we were caught we always said...Oh, gosh...but Patrick said we could have it/them.
There were so many Patricks it was likely that Patrick could have said it....so Patrick is what we name *found* things....:-)
