A friend has found woodlice and carpet moths in a rarely used room. Can anyone suggest what she might use to remove them? Thank you.

Regular vacuum cleaning will do it. In addition a steam cleaner will kill off any eggs and break static holding cr@p in the carpet fibres. Vacuum immediately after steam cleaning, and keep up the vacuuming thereafter. A vacuum cleaner to start with!

The life cycle of the critters may extend over several months from egg to beastie especially with the weather cooling down, so you may need to repeat treatments to ensure riddance.
A large foot on the offenders.
