Dont' know whether you are on or not - but here goes
I told you I am going down the equity route regards my house but since I have come to an arrangement with myself and (and another) I don't want the money I asked for last week but phoned the company today and told them to halve the money I requested with regards to your man coming to visit me tomorrow ie interest rate etc.
Your "man" rang me earlier this am and said to me "where are you going to get the extra money" I said "I just got it" - he said "did you get it from the Credit union" I again said I just got it. He said "well, you don't need to keep a secret from me" - I was confounded.
I am asking for half of what I asked for last week and he was annoyed - WHY?

Yes, he will be peeved, he's just lost half his commission :-) Never mind, some you win, some you lose, that's what you can tell him tomorrow!
Yogi, you're rude, tut :-)

Thought that as my friend said their neighbour's "man" got £1,500 commission for £33,000. I had my suspicions why he was annoyed so we will wait and see.
I don't have much choice being in Ireland as there only two companies here who do Equity Releases - so as much I loathe the man and his mannerisms I may stick to him - jut to get it all over cos I dont want to go through all over again and I do have to hurry up as Santander have given me until after 1 Oct to get it sorted. Thanks Boxy.
