alston, yes you did and your answer most appreciated but you asked me to download microsoft pc repair and it just made matters worse like installing yahoo toolbar, delta search etc etc and it was not free !!
Cannot see anything suggesting you download and install anything called Microsoft pc repair?

Did you run Malwarebtyes, if so what was the result?
beezaneez - you have installed something called "Microsoft PC Repair" - which isn't a real thing!

In the other thread you were asked to download and install Microsoft Security Essentials. You can download that safely from here:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/security-essentials-all-versions

You also need Malwarebytes, which can be downloaded for free here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

Download both, install both and then run a scan of each One After The Other - NOT at the same time.
Ta Ed, you've got a bigger stick than me ☺☺☺☺
Thanks SA.....I was beginning to wonder if I was 'losing it'.

If only beesaneez would download and run Malwarebytes, the read-out he gets could possibly put us in a position to help him further.

Microsoft Security Essentials was suggested
Beesaneez....Do as the Ed has said but don't download Malwarebytes from the link he has given....Get the free edition from the one I originally gave to you:-

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

Ed...Thanks for joining in the 'helpline'.......Hope you don't mind my having drawn attention to your link being for a 'paid' edition of Malwarebytes....Also it's an American site.

Al.
You haven't click through on the "Download Now" button on the free option have you Al? :)
Downloads from CNET are absolutely fine, one of the few sites I trust.
I'm suspicious of all sites these days. Even the ones I trusted in the past seem to want you to download an installer first followed by a load of extras you have to be aware of and untick or you get loads of utter carp all over your PC when you didn't give permission for it, you merely didn't spot they were trying to pretend you did.
Ed.....Sorry Ed. I see what you mean.

Also I owe an apology to beezaneez for having been wrongly spelling his username.

beezaneez.....I and other ABers genuinely wish to help you, but it does involve your going along with us and Not downloading anything which you may think is an answer. I am going to be blunt and say "You are in a hole and appear to be digging it deeper."

In this thread you have now mentioned that a 'Delta Toolbar' has appeared. As far as I am concerned it is 'Malware'. Consequently, even if you wish to ignore the advice which is being given by myself and other ABers, it is imperative that you do immediately what has been suggested by our Ed and then report back to us.

thanks guys, im trying different things at the moment, pc is going crazy, i cannot uninstall then reinstall avg free as it says i need to uninstall it manually, i still cannot see the programme to uninstall delta toolbar, its hidden under a different name somewhere in nprogrammes and features and im wary of uninstalling the wrong programme. i have tried to install malware bytes but it gives me an ang toolbar running yahoo search engine grrrrrrr..i want to keep my google chrome. plus malware bytes is asking for £29.99 fee. i do not mind this but my pc was running fine on avg free for years. i will pay it as a last resort , or if any one can advice me which one i should pay for ? again to you all thankyou very much for your help. much appreciated ;-)
Do Not for the moment pay for anything being offered; especially MSE and Malwarebytes which are available as free downloads.

I think that Delta Toolbar is responsible for a lot going wrong in your computer. It is possibly directing your Internet Searches to sites which want you to pay to sort-out problems. Consequently, it is my view that you take steps one at a time and as a priority you try getting shot of Delta.

Control Panel > Programmes and Features > search for anything listed as Delta >click and uninstal..............Next, open your Google Browser > Tools (3 horizontal lines, top right of page ) > Settings > Extensions...and if there is listed anything as Delta then click open the rubbish bin alongside it.

If all works well and you eliminate Delta it will make a 'clearing in the undergrowth' to proceed further with cleaning-up your computer.

Al.
Sorry, been unavailable all day, due to an operation.

Not quite 'with it' yet, but try and get rid off 'Delta' toolbar and disable any others you've got until we get some clarity on whats going on.

Both MSE and 'Malwarebytes Free' are free to d/l and free to use. No money will be asked for. Try and run Malwarebtyes Free in safe mode.
