Three things to look out for in this video.

- at the beginning at the top of the picture you can see the boulder detach.
- the splash of debris moves the car violently to the left
- the boulder finishes where the car was before it was pushed sideways

One lucky driver.

Good grief,

In a way. I'm a luckier driver though, I wasn't anywhere near !
And I'm wonderiing, why was the person in car behind filming in first place, is it from a police car? I could travel for days across the US with my cellphone videoing away and nothing would happen
Wow!!
In-car video is very common in the Far East
Is it for insurance purpose or what Canary42, but wow what a lucky escape all the same

It looks american though and usually there are mesh fences pinned along the freeway to stop landsides
it's a dashcam, ducksie, and who knows what it might be valuable for. Ordinary people have them, it's not just for official types.
and, er, yes, a lucky escape.
thanks jno, all these new fangled gadgets, I'm still trying to get used to the Tomtom :) that's what my friend now calls me while she plays with her satnav
tbh, having looked at your link I can't see the point of them and then I look back at original post...

not something i'd like to witness if it went wrong

thanks again jno
Recording that the accident isn't your fault could be very useful,
Would probably lower the number of deliberately caused accident scams if common that there was proof the bad guys had engineered the incident.
It was uploaded onto You Tube by someone calling himself "Black Jesus", strange that Jesus just happened to be driving along when this happened. Some on You Tube have said that the lord's actions saved the guy in the car. But was it merely a set-up to make it look as if he has magical powers?

Or am I just too cynical?
I've seen this film quite a few times now and every time , I'm still aghast at it. Wow ! One would definitely need a change of knickers after that experience !
That's quite impressive - it's almost comic in the way it "flops back" at the end. Lucky no one was hurt.
my thread from 12 hours earlier http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/ChatterBank/Question1272163.html includes a photo that shows the damage to the car
it didn't look that it took that much damage until you see that photo from the other side, goodness me,
