All he has to do is get some sponsors, pay his deposit, do a few TV interviews and generally be an unwelcome distraction from serious politics I doubt, in the unlikely event he does stand, that he'd actually want to be elected, not that there'd be much chance of that. The biggest problem Ed has in Doncaster is the allegation he's a "flown-in" candidate, not from the area, but I don't think Clarkson would have much to criticise him for on that front!
