Tree Identification Please!

I know this isnt a good picture but the tree is currently peeling its bark which looks a bit like skin, As its dark I have taken a cutting of one of the branches, I hope someone will know what it is.
the bark is generally a light colour, not white, more beige/light brown, although with all the peeling its difficult to tell!

One of the most commonly planted trees put in the wrong place!
The juvenile foliage is often used by florists, as part of a bouquet, people see it like that in garden centres and don't realise how big they will get in a few years time.
