Best bars in Tenerife

I'm off to Tenerife next week for some winter sun (hopefully) and am staying in Playa de las Americas, can anybody recommend bars/pubs - decent ones cheap beer and good music? Thanks a lot

When I went there 3 ago at the end of Feb, the main clubbing area called Veronica Strip was basically shut! I'm not sure if it was 'out of season' or just closed down for good. That left the usual bars such as Yates, Linekars and the usual big chains. Everywhere seemed to shut at 3pm, the only one open until 4am was called Rags, and not too far from Yates etc. I also recall a good Irish bar that was quite cheap with good atmsophere. Have a cracking time, its buzzing eve at the end of Feb, as its the only really warm place this time of year.

It's high season 52 weeks per year in Tenerife and every bar is in competition with each other for your peset......sorry...euros. Just explore until you decide on what's best for you. Enjoy.
