Photo App On Windows 8

How can I send a photo from the photo app on Windows 8, to desktop. Right clicking doesn't do any good, there is only delete, view on FB (it's not there) and presentation??

I've never used Windows 8, so I've got no idea as to how to send a picture from the photo app to the desktop (or even whether it's possible). However this method would seem to achieve the same result:

Hi Neti,

You can just navigate to it through the desktop file explorer - unless it's on facebook, in which case you'll have to visit the photo in IE to download.

I must say the Photo app isn't the best!

Oh dear, I am using firefox but I do have IE. I don't really understand what you are saying. I can change my desktop photo, but I want to take a photo my this stupid photo tile (or whaever it is) and put it on Winter wonderland's FB page but I can't get it to go anywhere.. I also use Picassa and I can move them around no prob, but can't even get the photo I want to Picassa. Actually have no idea how I got it from my phone to the photo app in the first place!!!!

I think I know what you mean Ab Editor, I am looking in Mis Imagines (My photos) and will do it from there, but there are all higgledy piggeldy.

If you can find the relevant file on your computer, right-click on it and select 'Open with', choosing Picasa.

If you'd rather that Picasa was your default image-viewing program anyway, don't immediately choose Picasa but select 'Choose Program' instead. Then put choose Picasa and put a tick in the box next to 'Always use this program to open this type of file'.
