Whilst you continue to do that, use your right hand to draw the number 6 in the air.

Can you do it without your right foot changing direction?

For me this was an interesting challenge as I have no understanding of left/right, port/starboard, east/west etc..........I failed and am now wondering how my brain was processing that action!

I thought I would be one of the few who passed the test!

usually one draws the 6 from the top right, drawing an anti-clockwise line spiralling in to the middle, so simply draw it in the reverse direction starting from the middle, that way your hand is moving clockwise just like the foot

When turning to starboard one must keep both hands on the wheel throughout the manoevre.

Brilliant! I've just proved to myself why I am safer flying fixed wing aircraft and not venturing into the realms of rotary!
