Regarding all those other protesters, I wonder how many of them are tax payers?

I wonder why you object to people implying you should ask questions, this being a question and answer site?
I am commenting that "is russel brand funny?" is not newsworthy, Protesters in london is.
By the way, i agree with YMB that RB has a very punchable face. As does DC and george osbourne, although i'd wager your fist might slide off, they are so greasy

Perhaps they raised them up when photographers were about to avoid being labelled as people with something to hide, masked protestors
Ever think of that?
Talk about damned if you do damned if you dont!
Maybe you'd just prefer it if nobody protested and everybody just did what they were told by government like good little subjects?

Sounds good to me, at least it is in the right direction. Apart from the Poll Tax ( protests) riots, very little come of them except of course to public inconvenience.
Both parties pre election mapped out cuts and austerity, the difference being speed of onset.
If RB had a shave, shower, put some decent clothes on...perhaps he might appeal.

// She is part of a coalition government, don't you think that her hands are tied? //
No. Water Cannon were used in Northern Ireland this year.
These Previous Conservative Home Secretaries...
William Whitelaw
Leon Brittan
Douglas Hurd
David Waddington
Kenneth Baker
Kenneth Clarke
Michael Howard
...never deployed them in England. None of them are lefties.

Your lead in may be the kind of device often used by journalists, AOG, but journalists in what paper ?
What would they have done if an actor like Olivier had gone on a protest? Say "How dramatic is this man now?" or "Who finds this so-called serious actor the least bit serious?" It is totally irrelevant to what he is doing so what is the point of making his living a question? Of course , it may be that one paper's subs or journalists would make that part of a headline, because they know that, in this case, Brand, is not a man whose humour appeals to their readership, in fact, the readership are likely to despise it. But what is its relevance, apart from appealing to an unthinking readership who cannot see the irrelevance ?
