Best Flooring For A Log Cabin?

We've just installed a 22 x 16 foot log cabin in the garden. Does anyone know the most suitable (and inexpensive) flooring? Obviously it would need to tolerate a wide range in temperatures.

I'd go for laminate....could always put down rug in summer..

I would use vinyl, easier to clean than carpet and not as likely to warp from heat or damp as laminate.

Well, as it's a log cabin wouldn't you go for wood flooring? Make it authentic.

For a log cabin, it would be almost sacrilege to use anything other than wooden floor boards, or at the very least a good quality ply, I M O

I'd go for carpet, carpet varies in variety depending on the quality. If you are looking for flooring cheaper then carpet i will suggest you vinyl. Vinyl is quiet and easy on your feet.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. As for the base it's concrete and then timber supports on top. I would consider wood but it's expensive and I thought alternatives may soften the tin box feel, ie reduce noise. There won't be much soft furnishing. But I agree it would look authentic and when you have spent plenty on a nice building.... I had thought of vinyl as there are some good options these days but I wasn't sure if it would warp with the temperature changes: it isn't recommended for conservatories. That said it won't suffer the same extremes as they can. The walls are pretty thick and the windows are double glazed. Will consider your suggestions and report back. Thanks all.

Best would be Sterling board with tiles fixed with a flexible adhesive (Bal, or equivalent). Timber / wood planks are a no no as they will absorb moisture and 'cup' or warp.
