Songs That Get To You

This isn’t to compete with ‘How far this goes’ – in fact it’s not about snatches of lyrics but entire songs which tend to make you choke up a bit. And, just to make it interesting, this question is aimed primarily at the guys (gals are perfectly entitled to answer, of course) since music tends to elicit more emotional response from females.
The reason I’ve decided to ask this is one song which has far more effect on me than it probably should, and I only say that because its chord structure is bog standard and its story is one that’s been covered by countless artists in the past. Really don’t know why, but every time I’m singing along to this in the car (sensitive male moment coming up) it seems impossible to not find myself with moistened eyes.

diamonds by rhianna actually ! this is because i was kinda singing this with my daughter the night before my son in laws funeral , he was only 41 and left 5 beautiful children and my daughter to struggle on alone. i have to turn this off because it makes me blub ! its his first anniversary very soon too

The other is Sailor by Petula Clarke . We sing it at the end of every family party .Coming from a family of fishermen and sailors who are sadly no longer here it gets us every time .

Though quite a sap sucker and able to name several films I have cried at, only one song my entire life has made me cry. Bryan White's 'Wishing On Someone Else's Star'. Google the lyrics and it'll be obvious why.
