I think it kinda makes sense really...especially if health trusts can offer free support (patches, gum, inhalers etc).

The smoking ban should go much further it should be illegal to smoke in any public place. If you must have a fag then you do it inside your own home only.

In a field they would hardly be likely to be seen or reported so it is beside the point. But smoking in the street should be banned, especially anywhere near schools.
A while back I asked when smokers first started the habit and every answer was '' between 11 and 14 years old'' if we can prevent that age group from starting we will eliminate smoking within 35 years or so once the present generation of smokers has died off. A ban on all smoking in public would go a long way to stopping a new generation from starting.
