Pasta and Clannad are the only 2 I'm aware of on here, hope it's a lovely day.

Unfortunately I only celebrate Thanksgiving in my heart now as my silly English employers won't let me take the day off ( ;-)) )...I even had to cook a curry for lunch today...not a turkey in sight....lol
Happy Thanksgiving to clanad and any other of my countrymen on here.

We have an American friend.
Years ago, we asked her if she didn't really miss the US. She's from California, and Sussex seems a bit crap by comparison.
She said the only thing she really, really missed was Thanksgiving.
So, we said ...
Heeey, we can do that! ... if you tell us what to do.
So, every year, about thirty of us get together and do Thanksgiving, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving itself.

We love it.
She gives each of us a bit of the meal to prepare, and we all turn up at who ever's house it is that year. We have turkey, cranberry, corn bread, succotash, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, butternut soup, etc, etc. One of the guys records the Thanksgiving Day ball game (that's American football), and we have it on in the background so it feels more like the day itself. We have all American wines.
It's really jolly. And mt BF is coming over on Saturday morning, woo!
In the meantime, I have to make succotash tomorrow. I suspect I've been allocated that dish because you can't really cock it up.
