can anyone think of a more barbaric punishment, i had no idea that it was so prevalent. I don't understand why there isn't a bigger outcry over this.

steve, never one would think,
sp i did know about this, however i didn't know it was so widespread, and i also know about how gays are persecuted, killed for their sexuality, wrong, wrong, on all levels.
Stephen Fry did a documentary fairly recently travelling to many countries, including in Africa. The idea being to find out why gays are hated, persecuted, what he found was stomach churning, these people should be ashamed to call themselves human beings.
Stoning of women is barbaric and if it features in the bible which undoubtedly is what sandyr was alluding to, then one would have thought a tract written centuries ago would still not hold any sway on human sensibilities, of course we know that is not so. No wonder i dislike religion and all its many facts, factions, they are nothing but a blight on humankind.
