Sky + Losing Signal / Failed Recordings

I have a new generation box and this is happening far too often and starting to irritate now. I've used the system reboot via settings and even re-build, everything. It works for a while. the signal and dish are fine according to the settings menu but after a while you start to get failed recordings, lose channel, series link, and the big giveaway, programme synopsis.
Last time there was an update everything was great for a while and then all the bugs start all over again. Is this a dodgy box before I ring SKY?

That does sound like a dodgy box. But persuading Sky is another matter. I've used the switching to BT Vision threat and it has worked! I got the service help that I needed!
