I cant stand Jools Holland and everyone knows it is recorded and not alive show, Andy Stewart was much better.

Dee Sa , ALL the New Year and Christmas shows are recorded, you don't think th people are actually sitting there at midnight do you?
Andy Stewert may have been live back in the 1960s as they didn't have the technology to record it. Some of them were recorded as far back as June or July
Christmas 'songs of praise' the carol service ws recorded in August I know someone who was there.

Also,Eddie,I remember reading about Songs of Praise recording 2 shows on the same day.1 I think was a carol service the people then went home and changed and came back and recorded 1 for Palm Sunday or Easter.I believe it was done in the autumn.

grumpy. Yes , they had to put lights outside the church to shine through the windows so that it looked like bright spring sunshine outside.
