What do people think about alternative therapies. I had a Reiki session and I found it an interesting and wonderful experience, It did not rid me of a stiff neck but it made me look inside my soul and helped me sort some personal issues.

i dont think much of reiki because anyone can do it ..most reiki therapists are just people that see it as a money spinner!! and before anyone jumps on me i do know what i am talking about as i have worked in that area..you can get exactly the same at your local spiritualist church as they have a day of healing every week and its free!! also their healers do a two year training course and are tested !!..

How are they tested? i

Sorry pressed enter by mistake. I can see where you are coming from Mullein but surely the people who do reiki must earn some sort of a wage so that they can feed/clothe and house themselves.

I know quite a few alternative therapists and i'm not saying this is the norm but most of them offer their services free to hospices/ cancer care trusts etc. I'm guessing that the people who do it at the spiritualist church are just the same and normally charge throughout the week.

The session was actually free, it was a monthly drop in clinic and the people who run it also work for the local hospice. The therapist in fact advised me that evey one has the ability to perform Reiki. I will certainly go back for more.
Where is this spiritualist church then? I am interested in attending? Thanks
