haha standard of the people there.
Question Author
<DIV>Absolutely! Standard of people is a good one (Chavs, Old Alcoholics, Yuppys, New Age, Gothic, Under-age etc) Cheers
know its prob one for us girlies, but what about the loo's? Nothing worse when you on a night out and you've gotta 'spend one' it a portaloo, or paddling pool!!

location, location, location

What are the doorstaff like ?

Do they do cashback ?

yep, a bit girly, but loo's would definitely be on my list too! and one thing which probably only niggles me is beer mats- dog eared beer mats are bad and the place would be marked down but to have no beer mats at all (a la w*th*rspoons and more and more pubs around) it would get nil point!

proximity to kebab house

totty level

seating availability & comfort

stickiness of carpet

opening hours

oxygen availability (i.e. non-smoking areas)

top-shelf friendly?

lack of under-age drinkers (unless you are under-age drinkers in which case, lack of old gits)

Question Author
Brilliant - Keep em coming!! I especially like the beer mats suggestion.
the bar staff should never touch the glass on the rim, that's a huge no no for me. also, how efficient are they? they shouldn't be around every 5 seconds emptying ash trays with one butt in them and picking up one empty glass, but similarly tables with lots of empty glasses and overflowing ash trays are bad.if it's got a juke box, mark according to your tastes. I like the ones that haven't been updated in the last ten years meself!

please don't tease but what's top shelf friendly?

I wondered if top shelf friendly was a sub heading under 'quality of bar staff' lol
cleanliness of pub, glasses and toilets. Or whats the smack and charlie like and how much. Do they keep to the age limits (No under age drinking ). Is the condom machine working.Do they have sky sport. Do the serve after hours.

This is a good site to check the pubs your going to,and ones to avoid.(:)

here

Birthplace of barstaff - e.g., Australia, Ireland, South Africa, etc. Need some sort of points system, maybe.

Might be worthwhile having your chart filling person on a reduced alcohol intake - because after a few there will be errors creeping in. Also, do the same crawl in reverse order some time later (another good excuse!) and compare the results. Another category - how long to get served?

sorry, a top-shelf is where a 'volunteer' on the crawl has a drink made from at least 4 of the drinks from the optics (i.e. on the top-shelf). Sensibly, lots of pubs won't serve it.

I think teag1rl's suggestion is better though!
