I have recently moved house and my kitchen has a shiny black granite worktop. Any ideas on how to keep it clean and shiny? Every time I wash and polish it it always ends up with watermarks. Thank you.

I keep mine watermark free by wiping with a damp cloth and then IMMEDIATELY drying the area with a teatowel so there is no moisture remaining to leave watermarks. Where there is scale buildup I use distilled vinegar in water as a very mild descaler and rinse with plenty of water.
Try Aldi multipurpose kitchen cleaner (it's vivid yellow). That's what I use, spray it on and wipe off with a piece of kitchen towel. This is a very cheap solution. You can get very expensive hard surface cleaners but I've never needed them.
Ok! I think, Granite worktops can be very useful and they can make your home look good. Worktops can be used in many parts of your home not only your kitchen and your bathroom. The right worktop can add style and value to your home. You can try using inexpensive materials or have your cheap worktops resurfaced; But if you want real quality in look as well as function you must choose high quality granite worktops.
