Samsung Galaxy Tab 3

I’ve just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and am struggling to set it up. How do I establish a Service Provider - presumably it should be the same one that my computer uses? In a small plastic bag that came with it are two electrical tabs one has on it Samsung Micro adapter (about 3cms x 2cms) and a smaller one about a quarter that size with SanDisk 16GB on it. How do I use these, I don’t see any slots to fit them in and there is no mention in the instructions? Advice much appreciated.

To get to the internet you connect your tablet to your wireless broadband router.

Your wi fi on the router should have a broadcast name and a password.

When your tab starts up it should ask you to logon to your wi fi and you select your broadcast name and then put the password in.

Does the adapter fit in the small USB charging socket?

I believe the USB charging socket also doubles as a data connector (I think)

Just to add...you don't need a service provider as such for these small devices. Just put the router info into the "settings" bit and as long as you use it at home, it will quite happily surf the 'net for you to its hearts content !

Take it with you when you venture out and it will try to find a WiFi connection every time.

Can I recommend a good app ? Try TV Catch-up. Its free and you can watch live TV from almost all the good TV stations.

Also BBC News has its own app. And Answer Bank !

I am most grateful for your answers but regret to say I must be a bit slow on the uptake. Whenever I click on the email icon or the Internet Explorer icon, the system tells me to connect to Wi-Fi and try again. I have a router, which I would have thought was Wi-Fi, and have tried entering into settings the so-called 'wireless encription code' and password shown on the back of it, but still cannot make a connection. How else can I connect to Wi-Fi? It's more complicated than I had imagined and I'll probably have to get someone to come and sort it out for me.
