When can I plant Primroses and Primulas in tubs in the garden for instant colour for the Spring, also where online is the best place online for value for money and garden ready plants.
Thanks in advance.

I think you have to wait until after the risk of frost has passed, but I'm a very non-regimented gardener so don't take my word for it....

But, I do use http://www.jerseyplantsdirect.com/ for plants. I've always found them to be very good.
If you want instant colour, go to somewhere like B and Q where you will get them in flower.
Wherever you decide to source your primulas, its always a good idea to wear gloves when handling them, to avoid skin irritation.
If you have Tesco vouchers you can get great value through Thomson & Morgan when redeeming vouchers. Great selection and some years I only had to pay P&P. Recommend you get any order in early.
Usually you would plant them in autumn...they're generally classed as autumn bedding. However, as mentioned above, you can go to a garden centre and buy plants in flower. I planted up 4 hanging baskets on christmas day with Primulas for my dad as a xmas pressie...and they still look fab !!!
Morrisons usually do a good range and not too expensive. They should be ready any time now
