I always have trouble changing mine - how long does it normally take for the new one to appear?

A few minutes these days - try pressing F5 to refresh the screen.

ten minutes usually, i think if you log out when log back in there it is, could be wrong, but my change of face, what's new........ took minutes

When I change mine new one is on profile when I come back to AB
and on answers within 2 or 3 minutes

Been on gravatar.com and selected new image and clicked where I should click but nothing seems to happen - started this last night!

I wonder if I did the wrong thing when I deactivated the old image before I tried to replace it with another?

If you deactivated your avatar in your AB profile, have to ticked to reactivate it?

Have done this but I still seem to be unable to activate the new image - blast!!!

I have the image in the Manage Avatars bit but the beastly pic won't replace the blobby pics. Getting cross now!

Did you go down the bottom of the Gravatar page and click Confirm?

click on the picture you want, then bottom of pic, page where it says confirm, click on it, it doesn't happen automatically, would suggest logging out afterwards and logging back in to see if it works. either that try a different picture say the one you had before...

Your avatar was deactivated - I have activated it now. As long as you're using the same email address in both AB and Gravatar - and you rate the image as a "G" - you should be fine.

Thank you everyone who helped me sort out my avatar. all is well now - too much desperately pressing keys not not enough taking time and reading the instructions properly I think!!!
