Downloading Microsoft Office 2003

I'd like to download Microsoft Office 2003 so as I can get more modern versions of Word and Excel than I currently have. Although I have a brand new PC which came with "Microsoft Works" (which I don't like) I'm currently using Word and Ecxel from an Office 97 disc I had from my old machine!

I've been on to the Microsoft website to try and find the download, but it's a minefield to the likes of me!

Can anyone give me some idiot-proof guidance please?

I'm afraid you don't just "download" Office 2003 from M$.. you have to buy it..

An OEM retails around �130 for Basic or upwards of �200 for Pro... even more for full retail versions..

Either get on eBay for a cheap licenced copy, prob some there now 2007 is out..

Or hit up your local Warez emporium.. tho not recommended.

Sorry I used the wrong term. I know I have to pay for it, but I thought I could pay and then download.

I have no idea what a Warez emporium is.

You can download time limited demo versions of software from Microsoft. As for full versions, I think you will have to go out and buy or get it off ebay or similar.

Forget Microsoft Office, and any illegal versions of it. Just try OpenOffice. It's totally free, and just as good (in some ways better):

Yes, it comes with equivalents of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access and a few other little things. All are designed to be just like the Microsoft equivalents to make the transition easy for people, and generally it looks exactly the same. Download it and try it; you'll probably like it.
