lost files on floppy disk

I have saved important documents on my floppy disk. They have all gone and it says that I need to re-format the disk again. Is their a way that I can get my files back again?

Sounds like your floppy disk may be damaged.

Try using this bit of software as it usually manages to recover files from damaged media -

Floppy discs seem to come up with this error message a lot these days. I would try it again or even try it on another machine. All might not be lost ... yet.

Then buy a pendrive.

Before trying anything else, shake the disc to make sure it is loose in its cover, if it still doesn't work try the disc in another machine. If you don't have one available visit an internet cafe.

I've now stopped using floppies as I had teh same probelm, work OK in one machine then stop wprking yet are OK in another. USB flashdrive is the way to go.
