Before trying anything else, shake the disc to make sure it is loose in its cover, if it still doesn't work try the disc in another machine. If you don't have one available visit an internet cafe.
I've now stopped using floppies as I had teh same probelm, work OK in one machine then stop wprking yet are OK in another. USB flashdrive is the way to go.
