Yes, got caught by one in a 30 zone a few years ago whilst going downhill, he was hiding round the corner, and clocked me doing 32. His van was parked on the other side of the road with it's front facing me.
Yes, I did get a ticking off. I knew the policeman (I had helped him out before in the gym where I worked) so after explaining that I was indeed braking whilst going downhill to stay at 30, it was quite a steep hill, he let me off.
Even so, it has had a positive effect on my driving, as I don't speed now - even if I have an idiot up my bumper, I just ignore them and tootle on at my own pace just slightly under the limit.
To be bothered by such a small overlimit at all indicates a real jobsworth. One can easily drift there and any normal person would not be bothered. It is a terrible world some are creating.
As I've posted many times when I did a speed awareness course the guy in charge told us,in answer to a question, that just as camera sites must be marked the position of the mobiles cameras must be in the public domain. The authorities don't have to tell you were to look but the info must be available. This is where it's posted in Notts and I' sure a bit of searching will find other sites if anybody is interested. Also the course must have worked as I very rarely exceed the speed limit these days

Yep, as soon as I spotted the van, he was already waving me to pull over through the window. He was quite a young bobby at the time, so was perhaps a bit jobs-worth-esque.
