For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.William Gladstone Stewart is 78 and must have retired. I was surprised to discover that in the 1960s he was private secretary to Tom Driberg, about whom he made a documentary in 2009.
I was also amazed to discover that in 1998, he successfully sued the Fifteen to One contestant Trevor Montague, who had lied to get onto the programme!

I don't mind her although I did prefer William G Stewart but it does get irritating when she spends more time giving an explanation of the answer than it takes to ask/answer the question. And why are some people on it more than once? That never used to happen. I do enjoy it though as the questions are mostly general knowledge, just a few are a bit specialist.
Loads of people appeared on the old 15 to 1 once. I think the rules were slightly different -- these days people are given three chances on the show to get to the final round; in the past, usually only winners were invited to appear multiple times -- one person, Chris Russon, appeared in 14 separate episodes over 9 series.
