New Phone Not Registered To Network

Sorry to put this in Chatterbank but thought more people would see it. Can anyone help me? I took my new phone to the Orange shop and the guy put all photos and data etc from my old phone to new one, put sim and memory card in and said good to go. Now both phones are saying not network registered, what do I do? The new phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini - any help appreciated.

Do you have to phone Orange to register it, pips.

They can take up to 48 hours- but usually don't. Try switching off and on occasionally.

Thank you both, I didn't realise I had to register the new sim card (you'd think the guy in the shop could have done that for me!!) Have just tried to do it online but there was a technical fault and I can't call them as the phone isn't working - doh!!
