I always thought they were for the days when cars were cars and mechanics were mechanics instead of technicians?

Dave, there is no such thing as an overtightened nut / bolt, you just need a bigger hammer to undo it !.

If your aim is good, Tony...a sledge hammer is very useful....though if your aim is not so good...... :-(
