How can i tell the abv of my home made cocktails

I would calculate the overall abv from the abv values of the constituents with regard to the finished volume (for instance two shots of 25 ml 40% vodka (50 ml volume of which 20 ml is alcohol) plus 300 ml orange juice (300 ml volume, 0 ml alcohol) plus 4 x 25 ml shots of 45% rum (100 ml volume of which 45 ml is alcohol) equals a total 450 ml volume of which 65 ml is alcohol = 14.4 % abv (or something like that).
Close enough.
