Hi, My black bamboo has been wintering well on the veranda attached to our house, we repotted it 3 weeks ago using left overs from grow bags and top soil...The bamboo now appears to be dying, all the new shoots are going black, the bamboo is well over 6ft tall and up until now very healthy and happy...Any ideas????Why it is no longer happy!!

Thank you.........AudiTT..xx.

Sorry, auditt. No answer from me except to say that I am waiting, like you to see what advice is given. I have just planted my first lot of bamboo in a huge pot and am now becoming addicted. Hope to get some of the black variety soon. Hope someone will come up with some expert bamboo advice soon.
Bamboo's like lot of watering and a good mulch of well rotted manure, its possible the spent growing bag compost could be lacking in nutrients, a high nitrogen feed may perk it up, if you follow the manufacturers instructions. Hope this dose the trick Good luck..
