Broken Car Key

I have been told my key fob is broken inside and I need to buy a new key which, .are very expensive. the key still locks and starts the car but I would like to use remote as well, any ideas anyone, I have also been told you can buy on e-bay, but don't they need recoding.help

I managed to get a replacement key for a ford focus from Timpsons - if i remember rightly, half the cost of Fords

Our local key cutting service (Timpsons) offer most car keys these days. I don't know the prices but I guess they are cheaper than dealers. Some can be supplied in store others need to be ordered from a central store.

Is this a Renault remote key card? They can be repaired for around £20.
