I've just been for a mooch around the garden and noticed my tomatoes have blight and have all died. There has been no blossom on my apple tree and there are no sign of any figs on the two fig trees. Ah well, at least I have a bumper crop of slugs this year.

Noooo ! What a shame ...they're out in sympathy over your recent health problems ?
Not been a good year all round for you has it Mrs O?
Could always put an ad in the paper 'Hedgehog food for sale' ........
Life must improve for you now Mrs. O. You've had your share of the bad stuff this year.

I bought a can of beer to make some slug traps and the contents have mysteriously vanished and I found the empty can in the recycling bin. No one is owning up to it grrrr

Never mind. You can always buy a tin of tomatoes, an apple pie and some fig rolls.

lol@ ladyj

No, they only went out two weeks ago
haven't put mine out yet but it has been rather windy on our cliff top. not due to me I add before you do.
You can still get new tomato plants from the garden centres just plant them in a different spot. Not much you can do about the apples and figs just hope they are saving their energy for a bumper crop next year. It's just my rhubarb that's playing up this year for some reason and I too have been successful in nurturing an enormous crop of slugs :-(
where are you - timbuctoo ?
I'm worried about my cherry trees, too. Is there some blight around ?
