Unknown Plant

Does any keen gardener know what this plant is please ,at the moment it is about a foot high, has thin spikey leaves and there is some sort if flower forming about half way down the leaf.

It looks like a type of penstimon, can't seem to get a paste it on here but there are several types the leaves differ slightly.

Two plants maybe. Agree that the the thin stems with flowers could be woodrush, growing between a penstemon perhaps!
