Weeping Cherry Tree

We have a lovely tree which usually looses it's leaves in late November when the white blossom blooms. The lossom continues through to March followed by new leaves, 2013/14 blossom was really great but the tree now has very few,tired looking leaves. Any ideas please? Oh, it's about 12 years old, thanks

Sorry but not enough info. Where abouts in the garden is it? In the ground or a container?

12 years is quite a good age for a weeping cherry, the expected life span is about 15-25 years, so I'd say its probably approaching the autumn years of its life.
Is there any other abnormalities ie with the bark etc ?

It's in the ground and has been very happy until now, no other signs of damage
but some new leaves are beginning to turn brown and some of the small bare twigs are dropping off- not looking too good. It's well watered and fed and I can't see any signs of insect damage.

I had two small trees in pots, a cherry and an almond and both have died. A couple of my bigger potted trees have suffered but are recovering and my neighbour has a tree in the ground which has it but is recovering. It tends to happen after mild wet winters/springs.

Thanks woofgang, since posting the tree seems to have revived a little, whilst some branches are almost bare others have "clumps" of new leaves, here's hoping.
