Window Bird Feeders

For Fathers day my dear one was given a window bird feeder that attaches to the glass, what I am wondering though, do the birds make an awful mess of the window? as I hate cleaning windows.

Hopefully the little mess they make will be far out-weighed by the pleasure it brings.

thanks chipchopper, I must wait and see, if it makes to much mess it will be moved to the shed window, and my dear one can sit in there to watch them, meanwhile I am expecting a large rook to crash through into the bedroom.

I've got one and really enjoy seeing the birds which come to it. If the windows get dirty, so what!!!

I bought one and nary a bird for months til a sparrow found it. Unfortunately so did the pigeons and emptied it in minutes. Have taken it down now and will re-site it where hopefully no pigeons can get near.

I find, the best type of wild bird food for this kind of feeder is 'Insect suet pellets'
