My stupid old parents phoned me and have not put the phone down properly and they are blocking my line completely I have tried playing loud music beside the phone and everything how do I clear my line

Apparently, if your phone goes through a plug-and-socket connection (usually near the wall), and you disconnect it and re-connect it again, that fixes this kind of problem.
