Sun Flowers

Hi, I planted two sunflowers but they died very quickly, after the leavea bacame full of holes, and the flower just drooped. I watered them well, so why did this happed?

could all the "useful" parts of the leaves have been eaten by something....hence, the holes?

The most likely cause, I think is slug damage.

The reason may be the nutrients to the flowers,you can add fertilizers to keep them strong.
