Well AOG perhaps this may well be of historical origin, in that many Politicians and "allied groups" do not feel that "abusing " children is a big deal.

It doesn't say there aren't any politicians, but doctors, police officers and teachers is a bit more of a story than councillors perhaps, many of whom probably have other jobs anyway.
Of course I suspect what you really mean is "there's been a cover-up and MPs and ministers are being protected", but statistically it would be rather unlikely for there to be too many MPs and ministers out of a count of 660. There are only 650 MPs to begin with, for example
