...We've never been to Cromer in North Norfolk before and we loved it.. the weather was fantastic but I wasn't expecting to see a beautiful sunrise out to sea to my right and 16 hours later an equally beautiful sunset out to sea to my left..How many other UK holiday resorts can boast a sunrise and a sunset like that, I wonder, does anyone know of any more..

Nice part of the world Janzman.I went to Cromer in the late 80's,Fakenham,Yarmouth etc.Weather glorious then too!
Yes very nice up that way .I live in Norfolk .It does the same in Hunstanton ,the sun sets over the sea .We've not long come back from the beach today .I live in the plebs end of the county though :)
Used to go there on Holiday in the 70's. Beautiful place. Nice beaches and friendly people.
Did you have some delicious Cromer crab?
Where we live the sun rises over the land AND sets over the land! But then we are 50 miles from the coast.

Balders - The Marine hotel in Whitstable is very nice. Had a big refurb about a year ago.
I have relatives in Hunstanton. True, you can see the sun rise and set over the sea.

You also get blown off your feet unless the wind is coming anywhere other than directly from the south. When my relatives moved in I helped them. The moving van had to be turned round because the wind (from the north, coming off the sea) was blowing the removal men and the furniture back into the van!

The town is over run with "Grockles" from Easter to mid-September and many of the visitors treat the residents with utter contempt. Other than that, it's a fine place !!!

Up on Tankerton Slopes, think Shepard Neame (Brewery) use it as a Training Centre quite a lot, nice place!
Mr. C and I had our honeymoon not far away in Sheringham.
That's the one.
We have a Holiday Chalet at Cromer, ( close to the lighthouse) we first started to go there when my Son was 6yrs old now 41 yrs ! later we are now taking the grandchildren down at every opportunity, You could say that we like it. Lovely when the weather is nice, but not too good in a Cromer Mist. Pleased you enjoyed your stay.
