Why won't my printer print?
1 Answers
Please help, someone. I'm going mad. I bought a Canon MP390 multi-functional device (fax, photoprinter, photocopier, printer, scanner) which has been thoroughly tested by experts and pronounced 100% OK. It works fine on those tasks which don't require the computer (fax, photoprinter, photocopier) but refuses to print from my computer or scan to it. The drivers are properly installed and recognised by the computer , as is the machine itself in Device Manager. Everything seems absolutely hunky-dory until I try to print, when I am told 'Printer does not respond'. I have chosen it as Default printer and have also tried, in turn, all four of my USB ports. Eventually I decided that the fault lay with my Windows ME OS, which was becoming a bit dodgy anyway. But when I installed Windows XP, it was still the same. Any ideas, anyone? Canon haven't.
