That there is nothing we can do to stop these..."International"..calls.

I know I can just not pick up but I had umpteen yesterday...annoying when you're up a ladder...and today it's every twenty minutes or so.....and my internet crashes every time my phone rings....thanks BT.

These aren't the ones the leprechaun answers.....when I have picked up the international ones there is no-one at the other end.

Don't suppose I could report them as crank calls that are scaring me?....:-(

Gness, join the Call Prevention Registry, it costs £40 a year and they send you a free call blocker. We get hardly any cold calls on the landline these days.

I will look at that, Boxy...thanks....I am still getting them up until a few minutes ago....

I phoned BT and John said his grandad was plagued with them too but there was nothing BT could do....although they are working on it....☺

CPR blocks international calls too, gness, which TPS doesn't. http://www.callpreventionregistry.co.uk/

Thanks for that link, Boxy it looks helpful.....I really think these sort of calls should be illegal....some old dears like me could get really worried when they are tucked up in bed with the horlicks then have to dash on the zimmer putting in their teeth for a silent call....☺....but I guess I'll sort it myself....xx
I wouldn't put my teeth in to answer the phone :-)
