As I said earlier in response to sandy, a long, long time ago.
Sandy was bleating about how they might possibly do the same again. I very much doubt it.
That said, one from N. Ireland can hardly pontificate about the barbarism used some 60 years ago in a far-off land. After all, I was in Belfast City Centre on that fateful day in March 1988 when Corporal's Derek Wood and Derek Howes were set upon by a baying mob in the Andersonstown Road. Dragged from a car, beaten senseless, thrown over a wall, stabbed several times before being stripped to their underwear and shot on wasteland.
When I got back to Drumadd Bks in Armagh City and saw what had occured in the full glare of the world's media less than a mile from me that afternoon, I physically vomitted.
So please, let's not drag up instances from 60 years ago, they're hardly relevant and pale into insignificance in comparison to what we've witnessed in the last 25 or so.
