Just noticed in my online banking that insurance for Mr Harv has gone up to £43.01 from £27.76 per month.

I contacted Tesco's and they just said it is because the dog is getting older.

I know he has been treated by the vets a few times in the past two years but is the nearly £20 per month hike - fair.

Anybody had their insurance hiked up?

I have a Tesco policy which pays out for Frankie's asthma treatment. I have had the policy for about seven and half years and the premiums have gone up very little.

But he is now nine (and so is his sister Merlin) and I know that they will increase quite a bit from now on.

With our little friends living so much longer these days it means that they will get more of the illnesses of 'old age'.

I think that insurance is a good idea - unless you have unlimited amounts of money.

My Yogi's insurance went up from £52 to £66 last year and I fully expect to get another walloping this year, he's been diagnosed with arthritis so I have little option than to stay with Tesco as no on else will cover pre existing conditions.

that's right rocky - no other insurance will take them on with their pre-existing illnesses. Will stick with it now.

I don't have myself insured at all.
It's a good job we love them eh?
Question Author
rocky - was that per month (probably a stupid question)
