The absurdity of football.Prem season hasnt even started and the man who performed a miracle to keep Palace up is on his way.He has never been relegated as a manager either.Crazy goings on,just like Cardiff last season...
You'd expect Crystal Palace to be odds-on for Relegation now!
I saw Steve Parish (the Crystal Palace co-Chairman) on Sky Sports News the other day boasting almost about Palace doing business in the Transfer Window and what great relationship he had with Tony Pulis - it seems that things were't so hunky-dory after all!
Any Manager who's team doesn't start too well will be looking over his shoulder now - Tony Pulis is a brilliant Manager - the Crystal Palace hierarchy must be stark staring mad!
People may not subscribe to his brand of football but you cant argue with his credentials. At least the club havent done this made\late season but it's all very strange...
Of course Pulis jumped, he wasn't pushed. Relations between him and he chairman have been dire for months.
It means that unless he gets another job quick (and presumably it's too soon for United to sack van Gaal) then there will be some uneasy managers of relegation fodder clubs wondering if he'll be called in to replace them at the first sign of trouble
