Surley the stewards can control this rather than inconveneince the whole plane because some idiot wants to be inconsiderate. This happenned to me once, I just lifted up the seat in front to an upright postion, the guy did it again I lifted it again and that was it.

Ummm I think it may depend on the airline but I usually travel Qantas to Australia and believe me it is like a sardine tin. I think the airlines always send their rubbish planes to Africa. Have flown Emirates and the plane from Harare id a beat up cramped old tin can but from Dubai onwards the planes are lovely.
if the seat can recline into it, it isn't your personal space; personal space is diagonal and pointing backwards. But in premium (which this pair were) I'd expect to be able to lean my seat back whenever I wanted as far as I wanted. If it's still not enough space for the guy behind he should have flown in club.
