How would they know it had been transferred? unless the parking warden lies in wait for hours everyday which is unlikely because they normally cover a large area.
yes, If I have a good amount of time left on the ticket I would hand it to someone else to benefit from.

I've quite often seen parking tickets handed over to new drivers entering the car park. Good idea. Shame to waste the balance of the time. I always pass mine on to a newcomer and hope that they in turn will do likewise another day for someone else.
My local council though is getting wise to this and now , in some car parks, drivers have to enter reg. no on ticket so it can't then be transferred.

All our car parks are registration number ones, now. What a faff.
Putting your glasses on to read the keyboard, forgetting your registration number, taking your glasses off so you can read the number from a distance, putting your glasses on to continue inputting the number, finding the right change, getting your ticket, walking back to the car..........and by the time you've done all that you have forgotten why you went into town in the first place.
