At least he's honest :)

well yeah, but would you need to be honest about that if you wanted a job..eh doh!!!

My friend Maria once had an interview for a job with the NHS in front of a panel of three. One of them asked her what she thought her weaknesses were. She said well I like a curry. After they composed themselves - on the floor with laughter - she got the job.

A male friend of my daughters had to fill in an application form for a job in a pub. In answer to the question "Why do you think you will be good at this job?" he replied "Because I go in lots of pubs" and to the question "Why do you want this post?" he wrote, "I don't, but if I don't apply for some jobs my dole money will stop!"

I don't think he got the job!

I once interviewed someone who said that he spoke fluent German. I got to that part of the CV and started asking him questions: he stared back at me blankly. It turns out that he didn't speak a word of it but had a German girlfriend.

He didn't get the job; it made me wonder what else he'd lied about.
I can't think of any answers I have given (althought I'm sure there are lots) but I once asked a candidate in an interview, 'Why do you think you would be suitable for this position'. His answer was, 'well, I don't really know because I don't know what the job is'. Turned out his girlfriend was so desperate for him to get a job she saw our ad and just gave him the number without them even discussing what it was. I regret not saying it was a role in an adult fim.
when I went for a mechanical engineering job (as an apprentice), they asked me what I knew about cars - I told them I knew what a spark plug looked like - 10 years later I packed the job in
