The price of the internet is disgraceful on this ship.(Marco Polo, we are on a cruise)
For 100 minutes it's £42. Or 60 pence a minute.
We bought a MIFI so are dependent on getting a vodaphone signal.
So far I had 15 minutes last night and this session now. How long this will last I don't know as we are heading for the Irish Sea to Dublin so expecting it to fizzle out soon. But it is so sloooow. Took 10 minutes to load AB. And at least 2 minutes to load posts I want to read.
It's like hotels - unless you get it free, they can charge what they like. I actually liked our last hotel for not having wifi at all - I didn't miss at all a week without t'internet.
Boy that's extortionate afaic, but then as boxy says they can charge what they like and they know if people want something they will pay for it. Enjoy your cruise I hope the weather is good for you.
From this rip off brought to our attention by Caran a thought has entered my head, is it possible to send broadband via mobile phone transmission thereby giving everyone the advantage of reception without extortionate charges ?
